Dear Backers

Best wishes in New Year!

We are listening to your feedback and we will follow accordingly. Therefore we decided to apply the modifications you have requested.

  1. The inconvenience with the X-TANKCOPTER being slippery on the flat surfaces, like wooden floor, panels etc. Now, this is no longer a problem, the drone has a good grip it is easy to control and climbs even 90 degrees slope obstacles with ease.
  2. Lack of torque once driven in rough terrain. Now it drives a little bit slower but it has about 30 % more torque. So it will not stop (oveheaten motors protection) on sand, grass etc .

Here is the video demonstrating the performance of new wheels on very flat and slippery wooden panels.

We have forwarded the request to the factory today, so probably we will get the feedback in the next few days (cost of tooling etc).

It will take 2-3 months to do the tooling, produce and ship the parts to you.

For those who would like to update their model faster, we are sharing 3D files of upgraded parts.

You can download them from https://xerall.com/downloads/

So you can print them yourself, or use 3D printing service. Please have in mind those needs to be done in high quality, especially the gears. Also, material for gears has to be ABS or other with a high-temperature melting point. The wheels can be printed using PLA. Regarding rubber O rings, you can get them in most of the hardware stores they are used for sealing pipes etc. The one tested is 1/2" rubber O ring. If you manage to only print the wheels ( as gears may be too small for some 3D printers) you will notice a huge improvement.

best regards

Witek
